Case Study
A specialized recruitment platform connecting textile professionals — from weavers and designers to factory managers — with employers across the industry.
The textile industry operates differently from tech or corporate sectors. Hiring is often seasonal, role-specific, and location-dependent. TextileVoice was designed with deep understanding of these nuances — featuring location-based job discovery, seasonal hiring tags, and skill-level indicators that speak the language of the industry.
The interface was information-rich but never overwhelming, using progressive disclosure and clear visual hierarchy to guide users through complex data sets including job listings, applicant profiles, and employer dashboards.
"We didn't want to build another generic job board. The textile industry has its own vocabulary, its own rhythm. Our design had to reflect that — or it would fail before it started."
TextileVoice serves two distinct user groups — Job Seekers and Employers — each with fundamentally different goals but shared interaction points. The design carefully separates their journeys while maintaining a cohesive experience.
Search jobs by textile specialization — weaving, dyeing, quality control, and more
Create profiles with minimal fields and visual skill selectors instead of text-heavy forms
Employers review applicants with automated skill-match scoring and comparison views
Pre-built textile industry templates for faster, more accurate job postings
Save listings, track applications, and get status updates in jargon-free language
Manage the full hiring pipeline through an intuitive employer dashboard
Form validation was designed to be helpful, not punitive. Real-time inline validation guides users through the application process, catching errors before submission. Clear, contextual error messages explain exactly what needs to be fixed.
The validation system uses a traffic-light approach: green for valid fields, amber for warnings, and red only for critical errors. This reduces cognitive load and builds confidence in the process — especially important for users who may not be tech-savvy.
The applicant side was designed with empathy for textile workers who may be using a job platform for the first time. The onboarding flow uses simple language, minimal form fields, and visual cues to make profile creation intuitive.
The employer dashboard provides powerful tools without overwhelming complexity. Recruiters can post jobs using pre-built textile industry templates, review applicants with side-by-side comparison views, and track hiring metrics through visual analytics.
Admin, HR Manager, and Recruiter roles with scoped permissions
Manage multiple job listings and candidate actions simultaneously
Automated candidate matching based on skill profiles and job requirements
Usability testing with 12 participants from both user groups revealed strong results across key metrics.
TextileVoice successfully bridges the gap between traditional textile industry hiring and modern digital recruitment. The platform's industry-specific approach proved that generic solutions fall short when domain expertise matters.
